Chanticleer was designed and built by Robert Trent Jones in 1970. It is the top rated course all of upstate South Carolina, and annually ranks in the top 5 in the state. It has hosted many premier amateur events, and is on the ten year rotation
for the SCGA State Amateur Championship.
